Evalyne Njeri - FOUNDER Anapendeza



Evalyne is a special education graduate from Kenyatta University. Anapendeza was birthed 4 years ago when she started working with adults with developmental disabilities. She is passionate about training youth with developmental disabilities on work readiness skills so as to empower them to become contributing members of the society.  In addition to that, she aims to educate corporates on supported and customized employment in a bid to promote inclusive disability employment in Kenya and throughout Africa. She is an alumnus of the U.S State Department Professional Fellowship on Inclusive Disability Employment.

Silvia is a social entrepreneur passionate about the Deaf community and partners with both the public and private sectors to champion Deaf rights. After spending over a decade in the Deaf community, Silvia knows how to collaborate, change conversations and disrupt the status quo. She advocates for mainstreaming of services, inclusivity and empathy. Silvia had just won the Education & ICT award from the inaugural Unleash 2017, where talents from all over the world came together to create real scalable solutions to the Sustainable development goals. Silvia is an Alumni from The Amani Institute based in Nairobi Kenya, with other hubs in Sao Paulo Brazil and Bengaluru in India. The Amani Institute is developing professionals who create social impact.

Faith Wangui - Field Officer Anapendeza


Field Officer

Faith is well experienced with working with children and young adults as a teacher. She has been teaching for 20 years and she desires to positively impact her community. She works in Murang’a country and she has been at the forefront of creating awareness on developmental disability. She has been on the lead to identify adults with developmental disabilities and vocationally train them and equip them with life and social skills. In her endeavor to creating awareness, she states that the greatest challenge is the myth, stigmatization and the lack of knowledge on how to care for adults with developmental disabilities in the rural area.

Confrey Alianji - STRATEGY Advisor Anapendeza


Strategy Advisor

Confrey works as the Innovation strategist at WWF where he is responsible for starting up WWF Kenya Innovation programme “PandaLabs”. He is a trained psychologist from Kenyatta University and a fellow of the Amani Institute where he studied social innovation management. He co-founded Ibua Impact Fund a social finance vehicle supporting entrepreneurship and job creation among the youth.  He is humbled and excited by the opportunity to be actively involved with a team dedicated to bringing employment for all. Use his skills in business strategy and human-centered design to help people who want to work, find a job that allows them to care for themselves and live a fulfilling life in their community.



Monitoring and Evaluation

John is a polished Economist, policy analyst, a financial investigator, and monitoring and evaluation specialist with several years of experience. He is a graduate in Economics from Kenyatta University. He received a Master of Economics (Policy and Management) from Kenyatta University and a Master of Arts in Monitoring and evaluation from African Nazarene University. Currently, he is working with Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) as a tax investigator. He is proficient in several Monitoring and evaluation tools in addition to his prowess in statistical analysis skills and use of STATA, SPSS, E-VIEWS, JASPERSOFT, R+, SAS and B1. John brings the much-needed monitoring and evaluation expert in Anapendeza.

Michael M. Githinji - LEGAL AND FINANCE Anapendeza


Legal and Finance

Michael is a Corporate Management, Finance and Legal professional with over 8 years’ experience in the FMCG industry with a multi-national company covering Sub-Sahara Africa countries in the areas of strategy, planning governance, performance management, and finance. Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Securities & Investments Analyst (CSIA) and Certified Company Secretary (CPS). He also holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Nairobi in Kenya and is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.



Curriculum Quality Assurer

Clara is passionate about empowering young people by providing the right skill set, right networks, and quality education in a bid to give them a dignified life. She is a Computer Science graduate from Kenyatta University, currently pursuing her Masters in Developmental Studies and also the Head of Growth at Kukua. She is our curriculum quality assurer, she ensures that our curriculum is relevant and well adapted for our trainees.
